For the past 8 years, Nasimiyu's designs and creations of jewelry have enabled her to provide for the basic needs of children in her village. This belief in responsibility to care for these children led to the formation of Born to Aid foundation in 2003 as a means to further  expand aid to those in need.        In June, 2008 Nasimiyu opened a store in Mill Valley, California where many of her  creations are showcased. 10% of all proceeds from this store are donated to Born to Aid.
